Southern Shoreline

I know that it’s been hard for you lately
There’s been more than a few things on your mind
I know that sometimes life can be lonely
Don’t you know that I’ve been waiting close behind?

I know that sometimes truth can be hazy
And it’s hard to see what’s right between the lies
I know you feel alone on this journey
But so many of us keep our fears inside

Let down your walls, let me in, let me in
It doesn’t matter where you’ve been

Come over for a while,
We’ll take a day or two
And wander by the southern shoreline
Take a breath and know you’ll be fine soon
Everybody needs a space to be and run
Come away and free your sorrows
They’re too heavy for tomorrow’s road

I’m so sorry for the things that you’ve been through
No one should ever know the things you’ve known
If I could I’d take the weight of it for you
But you will never have to carry this alone

Let down your walls, let me in, let me in
It doesn’t matter where you’ve been

Come over for a while,
We’ll take a day or two
And wander by the southern shoreline
Take a breath and know you’ll be fine soon
Everybody needs a space to be and run
Come away and free your sorrows
They’re too heavy for tomorrow’s road

Oh I can see from that look in your eyes
I know you’ve been lost and I know you’ve been tired
I promise there’ll be so many answers you find
Come out from that mask that you’re hiding behind
Let me in

We’ll take a day or two
And wander by the southern shoreline
Take a breath and know you’ll be fine soon
Everybody needs a space to be and run
Come away and free your sorrows
They’re too heavy for tomorrow’s road
